Our History
Mary Queen of Apostles School is a regional school in the Diocese of Greensburg serving students in preschool to eighth grade. Supported by St. Joseph, St. Margaret Mary, St. Mary of Czestochowa, and Mt. St. Peter parishes, MQA affords an excellent education to children in the Alle-Kiski area. The school opened its doors in August 2002, the result of a merger with St. Margaret Mary, St. Joseph, and Mt. St. Peter Schools. MQA is in its eighth year and thriving. The school has a health enrollment of 266 students with 18 certified faculty members. The administrative staff, maintenance staff, cafeteria staff, aides, and athletic director work to make MQA a great school. MQA is accredited by The Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools.
Preschool, full and half-day kindergarten, and first through third grades are located at the Freeport Road Site.
Fourth through eighth grades are located at the Leishman Road Site. An extended day program is also available at this location for students in kindergarten through grade eight.
The extensive curriculum offers opportunities for mind, body and soul. Rounding out the curriculum, a variety of extra-curricular activities provide students with opportunities to explore interests, work collaboratively, and grow as community. Students participate in clubs, competitions, band and chorus, organized sports, and school community events. Education, faith, and service are the foundation for continued success.
