Faith Formation at MQA
In an effort to impart knowledge of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, communicate teachings of the Church, and to encourage children to discern God's unique role for them, MQA has a curriculum that is used in religion class. The curriculum includes Scripture, Catechism, prayer, art, and liturgical experiences. Our preschool students are introduced to the Holy Trinity through Bible stories, art, and prayer.
Eucharist is celebrated at both sites since in the simplest yet profound terms, it is the "source and summit of the Christian life," (Catechism of the Catholic Church). We celebrate the Eucharist as a community united in faith. In addition to Eucharistic celebration, we gather in faith for prayer services, Stations of the Cross, Rosary, penance services, and May Crowning.
As a faithful people, we are called to service. We work to provide opportunities for our children so that they may serve others putting their faith in action.
