Congratulations to Aby Farmer!
We are beyond proud to share that Aby has been accepted into the highly selective Naval Academy Summer STEM Program! This program receives over 4,000 applications annually for only 330 student slots, making Aby’s acceptance an extraordinary achievement.
Her participation in PJAS (Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science), Forensics, and her Student Spotlight write-up helped distinguish her as a standout candidate. We also submitted her PJAS project and the special awards she received from the Society of Women Engineers—further showcasing her excellence and dedication to STEM.
This is an incredible opportunity for Aby to explore, create, and expand her critical thinking and collaboration skills while working in world-class facilities at one of the nation’s top engineering institutions. She’ll engage with like-minded students from across the U.S. and abroad, collaborate with Midshipmen mentors and co-instructors, and experience firsthand the exceptional education provided to future Navy and Marine Corps officers.
Aby will attend this immersive program during the last week of school, and we know she’ll represent MQA with pride and excellence!
A huge thank you to the MQA staff who have supported Aby’s journey—your encouragement and guidance have helped her reach this exciting milestone. 💙
We can’t wait to see where this path leads her next! 🚀⚓🧠
