Donate nowWith a plan for the future of Catholic education in the Alle-Kiski Valley, Mary Queen of Apostles School serves over 180 students in preschool through eighth grade. Along with an excellent academic curriculum, worship and service are a fundamental part of each student’s educational experience. Weekly Mass, celebrations of the Sacrament of Reconciliation, and a variety of devotions expose our students to the rich traditions of the liturgical year. A strong tradition of community service and outreach to those in need help our students put their faith into practice in a real way, supporting our mission.
MQA is on the move! Our new building for students in grades 4-8, at the former Greenwald School site, affords us an improved atmosphere while we continue to provide our students a Christ-centered learning community and a solid foundation in fundamentals with a challenging, extensive, and evolving curriculum.
We invite everyone to become partners in our success as we continue building a foundation of faith. We promise to be good stewards, using your gifts wisely and prudently. We are not just purchasing a building; we are building a brighter future and continuing to make Catholic education a reality for our area.
Your generosity is appreciated and will support a caring, enhanced educational environment, continued academic excellence, a faith-based education, and opportunities for student success at MQA.
With a goal of $1.7 million, this capital campaign will continue Mary Queen of Apostles School’s record of achievement!
~ Over 1400 STEM and humanities student awards
~ Student writing awards from various competitions
~ Recognized twice as “Most Outstanding School” at National History Day
By investing in the new facilities, we will ensure that the MQA students, faculty, and staff have a more stimulating and secure environment in which to learn and educate. In addition, the new location will:
- Serve the larger Catholic community as bussing from the Freeport School District will be added and bussing from the Leechburg School District will be extended to include the new location.
- Support a growing enrollment by having the space necessary to increase the number of 4th - 8th grade classrooms.
- Continue enhanced opportunities for success via innovative science, engineering, and robotics laboratories while keeping classrooms dedicated to the arts.
- Provide grounds that enable outdoor play, gardens, outdoor learning space, and the opportunity to expand the gymnasium.
