The Catholic Schools Breakfast held March 14 was a wonderful event.
The entertainment was provided by MQA’s band members from the brass and percussion sections. They practiced at home and after school and were dubbed “The Breakfast Club”. They played two selections, “This Is My Country” and “Louie, Louie”.
A bit later in the program the 8th grade select chorus entertained the audience with “We Are Marching/Siyahamba.” They were a smashing success!
Thank you to the student performers and our directors, Mrs. Capone and Mrs. Bernot.
In addition to MQA providing the entertainment, Abygail Farmer was given a plaque and announced as our Student Spotlight recipient. Congratulations, Aby!

We were also proud of Mrs. Bernot who was chosen as a Golden Apple Awardee. She was one of three teachers in the diocese to receive this honor, representing both Mary Queen of Apostles and The Divine Redeemer schools. Congratulations, Mrs. Bernot!
