The eighth grade students, parents, and staff attended the 39th March for Life in Washington, D.C. on January 23, 2012. The students, holding signs and chanting pro-life cheers and slogans, marched from 7th Street, along Constitution Avenue, past the Capitol, and to the Supreme Court in support of the right to life from womb to the tomb. Along the way, we met Bishop Brandt and were happy to see him and take time for a photo. Following the March for Life, we visited Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception. The event is one of the most impressive trips the students take. The number of supporters from all around the country, the prayers offered during the trip and along the route, and the mosaics and chapels at the Basilica will leave a lasting impression.
