The fifth grade class recently held its annual Statuary Park historical museum which they presented to their families and friends as well as the MQA students, faculty, and staff. This project is the culmination of year long projects in social studies and English. Each student selected a famous person from American history, wrote a detailed research report, and used the information gathered to compose a three to five minute speech. They created a costume that fit the time period during which their historical figure lived. Each historical figure "came to life" at the museum to share the information they had gathered. It was a great day to travel into history!
